“GEOKOP” Ltd. Derventa owns the license issued by the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Development to carry out the following tasks in mining:

  • Surface mining nonmetallic mineral resources and raw material for construction materials:
  • Mining works at the opening, preparation, elaboration and excavating reservoirs, as well as shipping and transportation of mineral ore and tailings,
  • Perform other mining operations,
  • Construction of mining facilities,
  • Preparation and enrichment of minerals.

Gravel pits

Company in 2011. signed a contract with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management – Water Agency for Sava River, for managing services riverbeds and water lands on the site “Modricki Lug” Vukosavlje municipalities. In 2012. issued water acceptance for riverbed river Bosna, which refers to the site “Kotorsko”, the territory of this municipality is Doboj. Gravel from the river Bosna is characterized by very favorable physico-mechanical properties, good grain size composition and high purity. As for the mineralogical and petrographic composition of the most represented limestones, cherts, quartz sandstones and marls composition.

Based on the survey that was done by the Institute for testing materials and structures IMK Banja Luka, it was concluded that the gravel from the river Bosna may be used to:

  • Making unrelated lower bearing (buffering) layers,
  • Concrete and asphalt concrete as fractions 0-4, 4-8 and 8-16mm.

Quarry

“GEOKOP” Ltd. Derventa holds the concession for the exploration and exploitation Orlovača quarry, issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mines of the Republic of Srpska.

Orlovača quarry is located about 5 km from Doboj and is located directly next to the main road Doboj-Tuzla.

Mineralogical and petrographic composition of the stone is very favorable because it contains limestone percentage of 70-90%.

Based on the testing that was done by the Institute for testing materials and structures IMK Banja Luka, it was concluded that the stones from the quarry Orlovača may be used to:

  • Making loose lower bearing (buffering) layers (0-31.5mm)
  • Concrete and asphalt concrete as fractions 0-4, 4-8 and 8-16mm.
